Amazon Teams Up With Winn-Dixie for Same-Day Grocery Delivery in Florida

05:43 AM EDT, 09/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) is expanding its grocery selection in Florida through a collaboration that will make Winn-Dixie products available for delivery on Amazon.com ( AMZN ), according to multiple media reports on Thursday.

Wedbush said on a note that this move by Amazon ( AMZN ) to expand perishable grocery delivery directly challenges Instacart's position.

"We believe this is the first time in which Amazon ( AMZN ) has experimented with testing an intermediary grocery offering, which would more directly compete with Instacart," the note from Wedbush added.

The note further said that this collaboration further supports their thesis as Amazon ( AMZN ) has started to test new strategies to solve the prior challenges around perishable delivery, helping to reposition the business and pressure leading incumbents.

Amazon ( AMZN ) and Winn-Dixie didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
