03:29 PM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) plans to invest $15 billion to build new data-center campuses in Northern Indiana, expanding infrastructure to support artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

The project will add 2.4 gigawatts of capacity and create 1,100 jobs, the company said Monday in a statement. Amazon ( AMZN ) also announced an energy agreement with Northern Indiana Public Service, a NiSource ( NI ) subsidiary, that it expects will generate $1 billion in savings to state residents and businesses over 15 years.

Amazon ( AMZN ) shares rose 2.7% in recent Monday trading, and NiSource ( NI ) gained 1.3%.
