Amazon Warehouse Workers Struggle With Food, Housing Insecurity, Report Says

10:23 AM EDT, 05/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- About half of Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) frontline warehouse workers are struggling with housing and food insecurity, as well as being able to pay their bills, according to a report by the Center for Urban Economic Development at the University of Illinois Chicago.

The report details the results of a survey of 1,484 Amazon ( AMZN ) workers across 451 facilities in 42 states. One-third of respondents said they are relying of different kinds of public assistance programs.

Amazon ( AMZN ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
