07:15 AM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) Web Services said Wednesday it plans to spend 15.7 billion euros ($17.02 billion) in Spain for data hubs and other cloud infrastructure centered in Spain's Aragon region.
Amazon Web Services said it will expand already existing cloud infrastructure and data centers in Aragon, where 40% of an estimated 6,800 new jobs will be located. The investment amounts to a significant expansion of Amazon's ( AMZN ) original plan to invest 2.5 billion euros in Spain over ten years, the company said.
