10:24 AM EDT, 06/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) Web Services has entered into a strategic framework agreement with RWE under which it will provide cloud services to the German utility, which will in turn provide the tech giant with carbon-free energy.

The agreement expands on an existing relationship between the two companies, with have previously executed seven power purchase agreements, RWE said in a statement.

RWE will provide the electricity from its wind and solar facilities, some of which are already in operation and some of which are being built, the company said.

Under the framework, Amazon ( AMZN ) will provide services such as artificial intelligence and data analytics capabilities, according to the statement.
