08:16 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) said Tuesday it has launched same-day delivery for prescription medication in New York and greater Los Angeles using delivery methods such as e-bikes, electric vans, and drones.

Amazon ( AMZN ), which is also planning to expand the service to more than 12 US cities by the end of the year, already provides the service in Austin, Texas, Indianapolis, Miami, Phoenix, and Seattle. Customers in College Station, Texas, have the option of receiving their medications within an hour through drone delivery, the company added.
