Jul 23, 2024 1:28 PM

04:00 PM EDT, 07/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) Whole Foods agreed to settle an illegal termination lawsuit with former employee Savannah Kinzer, a Whole Foods attorney said in a court filing.

Kinzer sued the company for alleged retaliation to not removing her "Black Lives Matter" facemask and made claims of racism at the grocery chain.

The parties requested the court to cancel the trial set for Aug. 19 along with other deadlines, according to the Monday filing.

Whole Foods did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Amazon ( AMZN ) shares were up 2% in recent trading.
