07:30 AM EDT, 04/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) autonomous vehicle company Zoox's unexpected hard braking issue in certain units has been officially resolved, as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration closed its investigation into the matter.

The agency said Thursday it was ending the probe after Zoox recalled 258 of its vehicles affected by the issue, which had automated driving systems with software versions released before Nov. 5, 2024.

The company's recall report stated that the issue was addressed through a software update released to all impacted vehicles.
