07:32 AM EST, 12/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AMC Entertainment ( AMC ) said Monday that upwards of 5.5 million people attended its worldwide theaters and Odeon Cinemas from Dec. 25 through Dec. 28.

The four-day span was the second-highest global attendance for a weekend period during the current year, the company said.

International operations under the Odeon brand saw more than 1.7 million visitors, representing the busiest weekend of 2025 for that segment, AMC said.

Domestic results were supported by five separate movies that each earned a minimum of $14 million, it said.

The theater chain is also preparing for promotional screenings of the Stranger Things finale on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, it added.
