02:57 PM EDT, 09/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AMC Entertainment Holdings ( AMC ) shares were up 4.4% in recent Friday trading after announcing AMC Theatres will release Taylor Swift's "Life of a Showgirl" movie across 540 AMC locations in the US from Oct. 3 to Oct. 5.

AMC Theatres Distribution will also facilitate the screening of the film in 100 more countries, including the UK, South Africa and Australia, on the same dates, the company said.

The 89-minute "Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl" will feature the world premiere of the music video called "The Fate of Ophelia" from the singer's 12th studio album "The Life of a Showgirl," the company said.
