07:28 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amedisys ( AMED ) said Wednesday that its subsidiary Contessa Health has been selected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to participate in a new alternative payment model designed to support people with dementia.

The company said Contessa will be one of about 400 participants building dementia care programs across the US to increase care coordination and improve access to services for people with dementia and their caregivers.
