Amer Sports Likely to Initiate 2025 Guidance In-line With Expectations, UBS Says
Feb 13, 2025 12:31 PM

03:05 PM EST, 02/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amer Sports ( AS ) is likely to initiate 2025 guidance in line with expectations when it reports its Q4 earnings, UBS Securities wrote in an earnings preview emailed Thursday.

Given that the company has already announced its preliminary results in January, the focus going into the earnings would be its 2025 guidance.

Amer Sports ( AS ) in January said it expects revenue to grow at the high end of its previous guidance range of 16% to 17% for the full year 2024.

UBS said it expects the company to issue a 2025 earnings guidance of $0.65 to $0.70 per share, which compares to the consensus estimate of $0.69.

According to the firm, sentiment around the stock "leans modestly positive" which is unlikely to change much around the earnings event as long as the company guides to $0.65 to $0.70 per share in 2025 earnings.

The firm noted that a below-consensus Q1 guide could be a downside risk, but would need to be factored with the company's history of beating its quarterly guidance.

UBS said the options market was pricing a plus-minus 8.7% change in the stock's price following the earnings release versus a 7.9% historical average move.

"We expect less volatility than +/-8.7%," UBS wrote.

The firm has a buy rating on the stock with a price target of $37.

Price: 31.02, Change: +0.89, Percent Change: +2.94
