Amer Sports Swings to Q2 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Rises; 2024 Guidance Updated

07:21 AM EDT, 08/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amer Sports ( AS ) reported Q2 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $0.05 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.22 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.06.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $993.8 million, compared with $856.8 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $948.3 million.

The company said it now expects full-year 2024 diluted EPS of $0.40 to $0.44, compared with the high end of $0.30 to $0.40 previously. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $0.36. Revenue is expected to grow 15% to 17%, compared with the prior mid-teens outlook. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $5.01 billion.

For Q3, the company expects diluted EPS of $0.08 to $0.10. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $0.13. Revenue for the September quarter is expected to grow 12% to 13%. Analysts polled by Capital IQ are expecting $1.30 billion.

Amer's shares were up more than 9% in recent premarket activity Tuesday.
