05:04 AM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amerant Bancorp ( AMTB ) said Wednesday that it launched an underwritten public offering of its class A voting common shares.

The company said it also expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional class A voting common shares. Amerant Bancorp ( AMTB ) plans to use the proceeds for general working capital.

Amerant Bancorp ( AMTB ) shares were down more than 5% premarket Thursday.
