06:32 AM EDT, 09/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ameren's ( AEE ) Missouri unit said Wednesday it filed a proposal with state regulators to build a 250-megawatt solar facility next to its Callaway Energy Center in central Missouri.

The filing with the Missouri Public Service Commission outlined plans to develop the Reform Renewable Energy Center that will power 44,000 homes and provide 300 construction jobs, the company said.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026 with operations expected to start in 2028, subject to approvals, Ameren Missouri added.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
