11:02 AM EST, 02/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ameresco ( AMRC ) and CRC Innovations have been awarded an energy saving performance contract worth over $200 million to upgrade US Army military housing at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Meade, Maryland; and Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

The project will upgrade 5,000 homes, benefiting over 15,000 residents, and is expected to cut annual electricity use by 40% and natural gas consumption by 50%, the companies said Thursday, adding that the initiative is projected to save $12.4 million annually in utility and operational costs, which will fund the improvements.

The communities will also benefit from the energy saving performance contract through improved heating and cooling, increased resilience during extreme weather, and enhanced safety, according to a joint statement.
