10:57 AM EDT, 05/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ameresco ( AMRC ) said Thursday that Atlantic Green has selected it and Envision Energy to build the 300-megawatt Cellarhead battery energy storage project in the UK.

As part of the project, Ameresco ( AMRC ) entered into a contract including battery supply, balance of plant, warranty, and availability guarantees. The engineering, procurement, and construction contract full wrap price is roughly $249 million, the company said.

Ameresco ( AMRC ) and Atlantic Green expect to finish the project and secure grid connection by the end of 2026, the company said.

Atlantic Green will own and operate the project as an energy storage asset following completion, the company said.
