Ameresco Partners With Juneau Hydropower to Develop Hydropower Project in Alaska

09:02 AM EDT, 07/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ameresco ( AMRC ) said Tuesday it has partnered with Juneau Hydropower to construct and operate a 19.8 megawatt hydroelectric facility at Sweetheart Lake, Alaska.

The project includes the installation of a battery energy storage system, over 40 miles of high-voltage transmission infrastructure, and an interconnection substation, Ameresco ( AMRC ) said.

Along with the development and construction, the project included a long-term operations and maintenance contract, Ameresco ( AMRC ) added.
