10:32 AM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Airlines Group ( AAL ) said Thursday it will resume flights to Edinburgh, Scotland, and add new routes to Athens, Greece; Madrid, Spain; and Milan and Rome, Italy, in summer 2025.

The airline said this is the first time since 2019 that it will offer nonstop flights to Edinburgh.

American Airlines ( AAL ) said it will also bring back flights to Copenhagen, Denmark; Naples, Italy; and Nice, France, for the 2025 summer season.

Shares of the company rose nearly 4% in recent trading.
