American Airlines Group Rolls Out New Boarding Technology to Over 100 Airports
Nov 21, 2024 9:56 AM

12:21 PM EST, 11/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Airlines Group ( AAL ) is expanding its boarding process technology to over 100 airports across the US.

The new software will not accept boarding passes for customers trying to board earlier than their assigned groups and will sound an alert for the gate agent, the company said Wednesday.

The new platform streamlines the boarding process by providing anticipated flight information for connecting flights, passenger counts, and a unified interface.

The company ran the platform in trial phase at Albuquerque International Sunport, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Tucson International Airport for over a month.
