May 21, 2024 10:22 AM

01:09 PM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Airlines Group ( AAL ) is facing legal challenge after a federal appeals court on Tuesday revived a portion of a lawsuit filed by its pilots for failure to pay them for short-term military leave.

The US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit reversed the lower court's judgement in favor of the company regarding the plaintiff's claim that American Airlines ( AAL ) violated the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994.
