07:56 AM EDT, 10/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Airlines Group ( AAL ) reported Q3 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.30 per diluted share, down from $0.38 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.17.

Operating revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $13.65 billion, up from $13.48 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $13.57 billion.

For Q3, the company said it expects adjusted EPS to range between $0.25 and $0.50.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $0.36.

American Airlines ( AAL ) also said it now expects fiscal 2024 adjusted diluted EPS of $1.35 to $1.60, compared with its earlier guidance range of $0.70 to $1.30.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $1.31.
