12:16 PM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Airlines Group ( AAL ) said Monday it is adding nearly 500 new maintenance jobs and expanding heavy maintenance work at its bases in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, and Tulsa.

The announcement adds to the more than 300 jobs recently created at the airline's technical operations at the Tulsa maintenance base, the company added.

Tulsa has 321 maintenance job openings, followed by 133 in Charlotte and 44 in Pittsburgh. The jobs will include more than 385 licensed aviation maintenance technician positions, the company added.

Shares of American Airlines Group ( AAL ) rose 3% in recent trading activity.
