05:33 AM EDT, 10/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings ( AXL ) said Thursday it has struck an agreement to sell its commercial vehicle axle business and related assets in India to Bharat Forge for $65 million.

The transaction scope includes the company's Pune and Chennai manufacturing sites of commercial vehicle axles and the Pune engineering and development center, American Axle said.

The company anticipates closing the deal in Q4, it said.
