06:35 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Electric Power's ( AEP ) unit, Public Service Company of Oklahoma, said Thursday it received approval from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to acquire the 795 MW Green Country Power Plant in Jenks, Oklahoma.

No financial details were provided.

PSO said the natural gas-fired facility will be added to its generation portfolio by July to support rising demand and improve grid reliability.
