12:00 PM EST, 01/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Express ( AXP ) 2025 EPS growth in the mid-teens is seen as "very durable, even in a slower revenue environment," after "solid" Q4 results, RBC Capital Markets said Friday in a report.
The company's 2025 EPS outlook of $15 to $15.50 backs a percentage growth in the mid-teens, RBC said. The firm lifted its 2025 EPS estimate to $15.35 from $15.20 and the 2026 forecast to $17.70 from $17.40.
In Q4, "results were favorable as revenue and billings growth modestly accelerated, a trend which thus far has continued" into early Q1, RBC said.
The results were "balanced against higher but acceptable expense growth," and "credit continues to be very stable, and the provision was modestly lower than expected," the report said.
RBC raised its price target on American Express ( AXP ) stock to $350 from $330 and kept the outperform rating.
