10:26 AM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Express ( AXP ) said Thursday it is collaborating with fintech company Knot to introduce a new pilot feature, simplifying adding payment information at certain merchants.

The feature, available to a limited group of American Express ( AXP ) customers, allows them to instantly update card-on-file information with merchants like Bloomingdale's, Hilton, and Macy's, American Express ( AXP ) said.

The new functionality is powered by Knot's CardSwitcher technology and American Express' ( AXP ) secure data-sharing capabilities, American Express ( AXP ) said.

Financial details were not disclosed.
