09:33 AM EST, 02/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Financial ( AFG ) said Friday it has bought back common shares worth $50 million at $123.83 apiece through Feb. 27.

The company also said its board approved a special cash dividend of $2 per share, payable March 28 to shareholders of record as of March 17.

Shares of the company were up 0.9% in early trading.
