01:02 PM EST, 01/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor's ( HMC ) American Honda unit said Friday that its sales rose 9.9% to 135,597 units in December 2024 from a year earlier.

Car sales fell 9.6% to 35,844 units, and truck sales increased about 19% to 99,753 units, American Honda said.

For 2024, sales climbed 8.8% to about 1.4 million units. Car sales were down 2.4% to 436,604 units, while truck sales grew almost 15% to 987,253 units.
