American International Group Closes Sale of Personal Travel Insurance and Assistance Business

07:09 AM EST, 12/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American International Group ( AIG ) said Tuesday it has completed the sale of its individual personal travel insurance and assistance business, including Travel Guard, to Zurich Insurance Group.

The deal excludes Japan, joint venture in India, and travel coverages offered through the company's group accident and health business, AIG said.

Under the transaction announced in June, AIG agreed to sell the personal travel insurance and assistance business for $600 million in cash plus additional earn-out consideration.
