American International Group to Acquire Renewal Rights for Everest Group's Retail Insurance Portfolios

03:27 AM EDT, 10/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American International Group ( AIG ) said late Monday it has agreed to acquire the renewal rights for a majority of Everest Group's ( EG ) retail insurance portfolios worth about $2 billion in premiums.

American International expects to start writing policies for existing Everest clients on Jan. 1, 2026, with further expansion to Everest's European Union portfolios in Q1 2026.
