08:38 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Lithium Corp. ( AMRLF ) said Tuesday that it has tapped former Deputy Minister of Mines, Augusto Cauti, to serve as strategic corporate adviser for its Peruvian operations.

The company has also launched a major technical/social initiative on the Macusani Plateau. The solar electrification program is a jointly run initiative with the Peruvian Armed Forces.

The program involves the installation of solar panels in remote homes that lack electricity, the company said.

To date, the company has installed more than 240 of the 1,000 installations planned for this year for the five Andean communities surrounding the Falchani Lithium project.
