09:51 AM EST, 03/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- American Resources ( AREC ) said Tuesday that its minority-held portfolio company ReElement Technologies has filed a new patent application to advance intellectual property for separation and purification of lithium from lithium-bearing brines.

The company said the filing is ReElement's eighth next-generation patent application and is designed to complement direct lithium extraction processes for high purity lithium production.

Shares of American Resources ( AREC ) were down more than 3% in early trading Tuesday.
