American Superconductor Secures $75 Million Contract from Irving Shipbuilding for Canadian Navy Project

08:51 AM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Superconductor ( AMSC ) said Wednesday it secured a $75 million contract with Irving Shipbuilding to deliver ship protections system hardware and engineering services.

AMSC expects to deliver the first ship protections system to Irving Shipbuilding in 2026.

The contracted hardware and services will be used for the Canadian Surface Combatant Ships project of Canada's Navy, the company said.
