01:27 PM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Tungsten ( DEMRF ) , up near 9% on last look, on Tuesday said it has begun construction and building work at its Idaho tungsten project, the Ima Mine, ahead of it developing a mine plan.
The Ima Mine is a past producing underground tungsten mine situated on 22 patented claims in East Central Idaho.
"Review and compilation of the historical drilling, sampling and metallurgical testing completed by historical operators has identified multiple drill targets across the property and demonstrated viability of gravity separation of tungsten and sulfide flotation processes," said Austin Zinsser, vice president, exploration. "Last week we developed a plan to initiate work where the prior operator left off, with delineation drilling and continued flowsheet development for the vein system on the upper level."
The company's shares were last seen up $0.06, to $0.73, on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
