05:56 AM EST, 11/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Water Works ( AWK ) said late Tuesday its subsidiary Kentucky American Water received approval from the Kentucky Public Service Commission to increase water rates by a total of around $17.3 million.

Kentucky American Water made a request for rate adjustment in June 2023 following $330 million in completed or planned investment in system improvements since last rate adjustment, American Water said.
