04:58 PM EDT, 11/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Water Works ( AWK ) unit Pennsylvania American Water said Friday it closed the acquisition of Sadsbury Township's wastewater collection system assets for $990,000.

The water collection system currently serves about 250 customer connections in Lancaster County and Pennsylvania American Water will adopt the existing rates, according to the company.

Pennsylvania American Water said it intends to invest over $1.5 million in improvements to the Sadsbury Township wastewater collection system.
