05:04 PM EDT, 10/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Water Works' ( AWK ) Maryland American Water unit said Wednesday it secured approval from the Maryland Public Service Commission to purchase the drinking water assets of Severn Water for about $1.6 million.

Maryland American Water said it will send Severn Water customers information on enrolling in MyWater, its online portal, and details about other customer service programs.
