American Water Works Unit Gets Iowa Utilities Commission Approval on New Rates

05:12 PM EDT, 05/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Water Works ( AWK ) said Thursday that Iowa Utilities Commission approved new water and wastewater rates for the company's subsidiary, Iowa American Water, on May 21.

The effective date for the new rates will be decided by the commission after it reviews the new rate filing by Iowa American Water.

Interim rates became effective May 11, the company said.
