03:38 PM EDT, 05/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Water's (AWK) Pennsylvania subsidiary completed the acquisition of Audubon Water, which serves 2,900 customers in Lower Providence Township in Montgomery County.

The transaction was valued at $8 million in stock in September 2023.

Pennsylvania American Water plans to invest $21.5 million in Audubon system improvements in the next five years. They include main restorations and replacements as well as control systems and treatment plant upgrades, the American Water subsidiary said Thursday in a statement.

The acquisition was approved by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission in January.
