Jul 1, 2025 3:07 PM

05:57 PM EDT, 07/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- American Water's (AWK) subsidiary, Pennsylvania American Water, said it will acquire two municipal utilities in Western Pennsylvania, expanding its customer base.

The $32.8 million Indian Creek Valley acquisition includes a 140-mile water system, plans for $8.9 million in infrastructure upgrades, and 2,700 metered customer connections, the company said late Tuesday.

A second $3.25 million deal adds the Sutersville-Sewickley sewage network, serving around 500 customers.

Pennsylvania American Water expects both transactions to close by Q3, 2026.
