04:54 PM EST, 12/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Americas Gold and Silver ( USAS ) was down 3.3% in after-hours New York trading after the company at the close of trade Wednesday said independent proxy advisory firms, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and Glass Lewis & Co, recommended shareholders vote in favor of the proposed acquisition of the remaining 40% interest in the Galena Complex.
The company said in October it would consolidate its interest in the Galena Complex in Idaho, acquiring the 40% stake held by an affiliate of Eric Sprott and Paul Andre Huet for 170-million shares and US$10 million in cash.
Shareholders will vote on the transaction at a Dec.17 meeting.
The company's shares were last seen down US$0.014 to US$0.41 after hours. They closed unchanged at $0.59 on the Toronto Stock Exchange
