08:23 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Americas Gold and Silver ( USAS ) edged up in premarket New York trading after the company on Tuesday said exploration drilling at its Galena complex in Idaho showed some high-grade silver and copper mineralization.
The company said one hole drilled at the site assayed at 20,147 grams per tonne of silver and 5.9% copper over 2.1 meters. It plans follow-up drilling to delineate the vein.
"Hole 49-703 is one of the highest grade holes since the company commenced the Galena complex recapitalization program in 2019 ... In addition to the spectacular grade, the hole is near existing infrastructure and in an area without previously known mineralization. This location should enable (the) company to exploit this area quickly and generate additional silver production in the near term," chief executive Darren Blasutti said in a release.
Americas Gold and Silver ( USAS ) were last seen up US$0.001 in premarket trading. They closed down C$0.005 to C$0.28 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
