11:20 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ametek ( AME ) shares added over 7% on Thursday after the industrial technology company said it was acquiring laser-based inspection systems company Virtek Vision International.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed but Ametek ( AME ) said Ontario-based Virtek generates around $40 million in annual sales and will be consolidated into Ametek's ( AME ) electronic instruments division.
