Amgen's Q2 Non-GAAP Earnings Decline, Revenue Rises; 2024 Guidance Updated -- Shares Fall After Hours

04:17 PM EDT, 08/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amgen ( AMGN ) reported Q2 non-GAAP earnings late Tuesday of $4.97 per diluted share, down from $5 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $5.

Revenue for the quarter that ended June 30 was $8.39 billion, up from $6.99 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $8.35 billion.

The company now expects 2024 non-GAAP earnings of $19.10 to $20.10 per diluted share. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $19.50. The company previously expected $19 to $20.20.

The company expects revenue for the full year of $32.8 billion to $33.8 billion. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $33.06 billion. The company previously expected $32.5 billion to $33.8 billion.

Shares of Amgen ( AMGN ) fell 2.3% in after-hours activity.
