09:13 AM EST, 03/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amprius Technologies ( AMPX ) said Thursday it has shipped its new silicon-based battery cell to a light electric vehicle company for assessment.

The 6.3Ah 21700 SiCore cell has 25% more capacity than the standard 5Ah 21700 cells as well as higher energy density and extended lifespan, making it suitable also for potential applications in fixed wing aviation and robotics, Amprius ( AMPX ) said.
