03:58 PM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Anaergia ( ANRGF ) said Monday its Anaergia S.r.l. subsidiary signed contracts with QGM to build two new biomethane production plants in Italy.
The subsidiary will handle engineering, procurement, and construction for the projects, providing advanced equipment for facilities in Copparo and Derovere, northern Italy, the company said.
The plants will use Anaergia's ( ANRGF ) anaerobic digestion technology to convert agricultural waste into renewable biomethane. Each plant will process over 50,000 metric tons of waste per year, producing more than 4 million cubic meters of methane per hour, the company added.
The plants are set to be completed and connected to Italy's gas grid by mid-2026, with a total contracted value exceeding C$46 million, the company said.
Anaergia ( ANRGF ) shares were last seen up $0.08 to $0.99 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
