11:11 AM EDT, 03/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Anaergia ( ANRGF ) , up 2% on last look, on Friday said a central Italian city has approved the construction of a waste treatment plant, including a new anaerobic digestion facility.

This facility in Fermo will treat more than 35,000 tons per year of source-separated organics. It is expected to produce about 31.400 MWh of biomethane, which will be turned into compressed natural gas (CNG) and used for vehicle fuelling.

The plant is expected to be producing CNG in the middle of next year. The total investment in this new facility is expected to be about $45.5 million. Anaergia ( ANRGF ) said it expects to recognize revenue of more than $9 million.

Anaergia ( ANRGF ) was last seen up $0.02 to $0.95 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
