10:26 AM EST, 11/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Anaergia Technologies, a unit of Anaergia ( ANRGF ) , on Friday said it has been awarded a $43.8 million design-build contract by the East County Advanced Water Purification Joint Powers Authority (JPA) in San Diego, California.

The company said the system will generate electricity from biogas produced on-site, leveraging its "high-efficiency" anaerobic digestion and combined heat and power technologies. It believes this "enhances" the JPA's energy resiliency and enables reduced cost operations.

Anaergia Technologies expects the construction of this facility to be completed within two years.

Shares of Anaergia ( ANRGF ) were last seen up 2.8% at $2.17 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
