04:59 PM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ansys ( ANSS ) said late Wednesday that its shareholders have approved the acquisition of the firm by Synopsys ( SNPS ) at a special meeting, with about 98.7% of the shares voting in favor of the deal.

Under the deal terms, Ansys ( ANSS ) shareholders will get $197 in cash and 0.3450 shares of Synopsys ( SNPS ) for each Ansys ( ANSS ) share.

The deal is expected to close in H1 of 2025, Ansys ( ANSS ) said.
